10 Things You MUST Do At NRA

If you’re heading to the NRA Show this May 20-23, then you’ve probably already got a few booths and activities that you’re interested in. The problem is that there are literally thousands of different booths, and you’ve got to have a gameplan in place if you’re going to get the most out of your time that weekend. So without further ado, here are our picks for the top ten can’t-miss booths and activities at NRA.

1. Restaurants Rock

Cocktails, dancing, good food, and the foremost Prince tribute band? That sounds like a winning combination to us, and it’s all part of Restaurants Rock at the House of Blues on May 21st. Tickets are available through your registration, and you won’t want to miss the experience.

2. Aarti Sequeira

Part of the World Culinary Showcase, Aarti will be speaking and demonstrating May 22nd from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. You won’t want to miss the author of Aarti Party: An American Kitchen with an Indian Soul, so put it on your calendar now.

3. Starita Pizza Academy

Part of the Bellavita Italian Pavilion, the Starita Pizza Academy will be holding a Masterclass on stage on May 22nd, and making Neapolitan pizza on an ongoing basis. We wouldn’t suggest missing it.

4. Go With The Grain

Interested in the different types of grains available for use in your restaurant? Then check out Chef Michael from True Food on May 20th from 11:15 to noon at the Foodamental Studio. He’ll be talking about how to incorporate ancient grains into cooking, substituting starches and meats, and so much more.

5. Waste Not, Want Not

The Foodamental Studio will also be hosting Chef Nicole Pederson from Found to talk about using food waste economically and responsibly. She’ll be speaking on this important issue from 10:00 to 10:45 am on May 22nd.

6. Alternative BiteStyle

This special area will focus on vegetarian and vegan products, as well as products that are low sodium and gluten-free, with a eye on allergic sensitivities.

7. Organic And Natural Pavillion

Here you’ll find all the organic, all-natural ingredients and products that consumers are beginning to demand in ever-greater quantities. Definitely one to mark on your map if you’re considering making changes to satisfy those demands.

8. Check Out The KI Awards

These awards are given to those who’ve come up with incredible innovations in technology, food safety, water and energy efficiency, and so much more. You’ll be awed by some of the creativity and ingenuity you see rewarded here.

9. Barton Seaver

Another great speaker at the World Culinary Showcase, Seaver is the Director of the Healthy and Sustainable Food Program at the Center for Health and Global Environment at Harvard, and an expert on sustainable practices. He’ll be on stage from noon to 1:00 pm on May 22nd.

10. The Marketing Vitals Booth

You’ll definitely want to see the game-changing software and meet the crew at the Marketing Vitals booth, number 6359. Led by award winning CEO Rom Krupp, the team will be showcasing the latest tech innovations in analytics and data for restaurants.
